no nails

Boo! Happy Halloween, peeps! For your Halloween pleasure I have some sweet nails for you. Candy Corn nails! Can you get a more classic Halloween candy? I saw these nails on a cashier and knew I had to do some nails like hers. But I added a little SPARKLE! So for these I did  2 coats of white to start off. Then it got tricky (or treaty? ;) ). I taped off part of the base of the nail and painted a plain yellow then applied the glitter on top of that. I let that dry then went on to the orange, doing the same thing (sorta) by taping off the middle of the nail. I did a plain orange and then applied glitter. The top of the nail is already white so I just applied the glitter. The reason I put a plain yellow and orange color under the glitter is because the glitter I used for both of the colors were really light and needed a little boast so I would not have to put 4 to 5 coats of the polish on the nails. Hey! Sorry for the late post. I had my mom's birthday and a Comic Con over the last weekend, so I was too busy to post anything! Here is the second edition of The Blood of Olympus nails.  (SPOILER AHEAD (maybe)) The Blood of  Olympus - 5th book of The Heroes of Olympus series For these nails I did a mini version of the cover. So there is a purple/gray sparkle storm cloud on the top of the nail. For the cloud, I did a deep gray with a purple glitter on top. I also did a Greek pillar cutting through from the base of the nail at an angle and a lighting bolt  from the cloud to the pillar. Colors: OPI = 4 in the Morning (gray), essie = truth or flare (light brown(pillar)), essie = take it outside, Finger Paints = Purple Palette, Strip Rite = Gold I love these! Hey Peeps of da Polish. It has been a while, hasn't it? (SPOILERS ahead. MAJOR  SPOILERS AHEAD) Do not read unless you have finished ALL of The Blood of Olympus or don't plan on reading the series. Otherwise, sorry! So I read The Blood of Olympus in two/there days if you count going back and rereading on the third day. It was amazing! (Let me just say LEO! (hehe)) I will definitely be doing some more nails for all of them, especially a lot of Leo due to his, you know, . . . death.   So, for the first part of The Blood of Olympus nails, I did a "sleeveless" cover version (meaning without the cover sleeve).  Due to the book being Camp Half-Blood orange on the inside and Camp Jupiter purple, I came up with something different than Jason's nails.  At some point near the middle of reading the book, I came up with Spear Heads and the nails were"born". 1 DAY UNTIL THE BLOOD OF OLYMPUS ! I am sooo EXCITED (if you couldn't tell)! (SPOILERS ahead once again.) Nico di Angelo - Son of Hades  For Nico, I wanted to show the his personality. I think a lot of people see him as black, but I think he is also shades of gray and even white. So, I did a tilted stripe nail. Black on top, white in the middle, and a light gray on the bottom. I thought this showed how he is layered, in a sense. Colors: China Glaze = Liquid Leather, OPI = Alpine Snow, Mineral Fusion = Gravel Road Octavian - "Son" of Apollo   For Octavian, I have always seen him as a gold type of person, and with that I wanted to show what he does best--ripping up stuffed animals for his Auguries. Hey Polish Peeps! The Mark of Athena nails! (Once again SPOILERS ahead if you have not read the book and plan to do so!) Annabeth Chase - Daughter of Athena (guess who has a big part in this book haha) For Annabeth, I wanted to show her journey. So, I went with a line that moves across the nails. I went with a darker pink because she is still very much a girl but a strong one at that. I did the line in gray because of her stormy gray eyes that are filled with information on everything and everyone.  Colors: essie = angora cardi (pink), essie = over the edge (gray)  Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano - Daughter of Bellona For Reyna, I wanted to show how she basically only had one reason for doing anything anymore after losing Jason and having Percy turn her down: Camp Jupiter. Hey Polish Peeps! 3 days until The Blood of Olympus , so you know what that means. The Son Of Neptune nails.  (SPOILERS ahead) Percy Jackson - Son of Poseidon  For Percy I did a dark sea blue because when do you ever think of Percy and not think of blue things? With the blue is a sea green (for Percy's eye color) trident on the thumb, middle, and pinky fingers. Colors: essie = after school boy blazer, Stripe Rite = Green Hazel Levesque - Daughter of Pluto  For Hazel, I thought that a classic nail color fit considering the time she came from. So, I picked red. The red I chose was a red based off of jewels because one of Hazel's abilities is to control the riches under the earth. It may be very crazy, but the Percy Jackson books have been with me since 4th grade and have helped me with my dyslexia. So, crazy is fine with me. Now, onto the nails! For my Heroes of Olympus nails, I did a set of nails for each of the main characters as well as a set based off of each cover of the book. First and foremost, I did nails for The Lost Hero . Hey Polish Peeps. So today I bring you my sister's homecoming toes. Though she also had her fingernails done, she ruined them before I could take a picture so all I got were her piggies. Her dress was light purple with sliver/gray glitter and I thought of these nails for the hands and feet but, of course, I only got the feet pictured (sorry). For this I used: essie - lilacism; this was for the basic color OPI - Alpine Snow; this was for the flower on her big toes Stripe Rite in silver for accents on the flowers I hope you like the toes.  There are really cute but it was hard to get a good picture of them.  For my next set of nails, I will be doing a count down to The Blood of Olympus , which is the last book in The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan.
