mini mani monday: Dragon Fruit

Image
Hey hey hey Polish peeps! It is mini mani Monday and it's springtime! So, today I gave my sister a fruity mani. First, I had her pick her favorite fruit out of the "jewels" I had. She picked Dragon Fruit (I bet it is just because of the name :P). I matched a pink to the colors of the dragon fruit and grabbed a white and glitter! I painted her pointer and ring fingers white and her thumb, middle, and pinky pink (hehe pinky pink). Once that was dry, I added the glitter on all the nails. I put a drop of top coat where I wanted to add the jewels. I added them to the pointer and ring. A coat of top coat on all and then I was finished and she was sleepy. Colors: Essie = cute as a button (pink), Essie = blanc  Hope you guys like them! They are so cute! Peace out!

Spring Lake

Hey hey hey, my Polish Peeps!! On this cloudy first day of spring, I have some "basic" (at least for me) nails! I had my wonderful mum pick out one her favorite colors from my collection. And she just so happened to pick out the light blue the I adore! So, with three coats of the blue polish applied, I grabbed my current white polish and added a flower with a dotter tool (this is also doable with a toothpick and looks just as good!!). One thing that is fun to add to a flower is a jewel in the center of the flower. Now, there are nail jewels at beauty shops that are beautiful but if you can't find them, at a craft store they should have jewels. Look for the smallest sizes they have. I got my first jewels at Micheal's and they work just as well as nail jewels (I now use nail jewels). To apply the jewel, put a tiny dot of top coat where you want it. If you need extra hold, use nail glue which is normally used to put on fake nails. This will keep the jewel on until yo...

St. Patrick's Day!!!

Image
Hallo my Polish Peeps!! So today is St. Patrick's Day and I wanted to do something to celebrate! I thought about the Irish flag and thought that would be different and pretty way to observe the holiday. So, I started off by painting my thumb, middle, and pinky with a plain green (have I mentioned how hard it is to find a GOOD GREEN polish?!). I painted my pointer and ring finger white.  Then on the white nails, when they dried, I taped them so I could paint both sides. On the right side, I painted orange and then on the left side I painted green (the same green on the other nails). I like doing the two nail accent finger thing because it gives me more without having to do every nail with the design. Colors: essie = mojito madness (green),essie = meet me at sunset (orange), essie = blanc (white)  Have a happy and safe St. Patrick's Day!!!! Peace out!

Shining Through

Image
Hallo Polish Peeps! It is time for piggies! For this month's toes, I wanted something warm with a little sparkle. I choose a sparkly deep brown and painted four toes this color. I wanted some other sparkly colors for one toe so I choose a brown-ish/gold-ish  glitter and painted one toe on each foot. Sorta like an accent finger but instead it's an accent pig.  You can choose any toe to do the accent on. Or do two toes! Anyway I just loved how the colors look and how the accent toe really shines though! Colors: OPI = Espresso Your Style! (dark brown), Essie = Jiggle hi, Jiggle lo (gold glitter) I like the pop of the glittery gold on one!!! I think this is good for the last pedi of winter seeing as spring is almost here! Peace out!

Blue & Sliver 2013 and 2015

Image
Hallo Polish Peeps! A few days ago, my sister was going though our old pictures and found some of my first nail art from 2013. Back then, I had just found out what nail art was, didn't have base coat or top coat, I was using a tooth pick for most of the art (which is perfect for beginners or any time you don't have the tools), and didn't really know what a cuticle was! So, I looked at the nails and thought of doing a progress post! I redid the nails. Thankfully, the nails done in 2015 look so much better! This just showed me how much I have progressed and it shows that you get better the more you do and the more you learn! I was hoping this would inspire anybody who doesn't think that they can do it . . . let me tell you something - YOU CAN! Trust me! So, in 2013, I had just bought China Glaze for the first time and Essie was very new to me. On the pointer, I used a toothpick to do the dots, on the pinky I used glitter I found in the craft supplies in my house. I di...
