Blue & Yellow

Image
Hallo Polish Peeps! My birthday was Wednesday, so I ended up doing more than I thought and couldn't find the time to post! I am so sorry! Anyway! Today I have my favorite color combo ever! I have always loved a dark blue and yellow together. So I picked up a sparkly yellow polish and a deep navy blue! I decided to do a classic mani. I painted all my fingers the deep blue except for the ring finger. I painted my ring finger (accent finger) the sparkly yellow. This is an easy mani, but it always looks really good! Colors; butter London = Royal Navy, China Glaze = Lighthouse  Hope you guys like the nails. See you soon with some sweet nails for a sweet holiday coming up ;)! Peace out!

Mini Mani Monday: Pink Out

Image
Hey hey hey Polish Peeps! Today I am giving you a Mini Mani, meaning short/small nails with an amazing nail art design. My sister has really short/small nails, so I always want to see the designs I could do on her nails. For these nails, I did 3 slanted "triangles". First, I started by painted her nails a light pink. Once that was dry, I taped off one triangle-ish area and painted it a darker pink. When that was dry, I taped off another triangle-ish area and painted it a glittery pink. When you are done, you should have a dark pink by the cuticle of the nail. The center of the nail should be a lighter pink and the tip of the nail will be glittery.  Now, you can do this design with any color. You just need to have a light, a dark, and a glittery version of the color you chose. Colors: Essie = Ballet Slippers(light pink), Essie = A Cut Above(glitter), OPI = Hey Baby  What do you guys think? Her nails are really short so I hope this gives you guys get ideas on how...

Moon Gradient Tutorial

Image
Hallo Polish Peeps! I wanted to do a nail gradient again and wanted to give you a how to. For this, I picked out my favorite light purple and my favorite white polish and set to work. Colors: OPI = You're Such a BudaPest, OPI = Alpine Snow (white), China Glaze = Fairy Dust (glitter top coat) Step 1: First you want to apply one coat of the lightest color of polish out of the colors you have chosen.  Step 2: On a make-up sponge, paint the colors you have chosen on the order you  want it on your nail. So the top of the make-up sponge will be the end of the nail near the cuticle.  When you have applied both colors to the sponge it will look like this.  Step 3: Place the painted (still wet) sponge on your nail and press lightly.  Peel the sponge off and your colors will be applied to the nail. When you sponge on the next layer make the sponge go a little up on the nail and the sponge on another lower. Basically, when you are sponging, sponge up...

Red Overrun with Gold

Image
Hey hey hey Polish Peeps! So today I have some toes for you guys! I decided as part of my New Years resolution that I would post a set of toes each month on the 15th (let's see how long this lasts). For January, I wanted to do a deep red. I always love red on my toes! So, I painted my toes red. When the red had dried, I thought it could use a little extra something . . . so I added glitter! Red and gold has always been one of my favorite color combos, so these toes are some of my all time favorites! Colors: Essie = wrapped in rubies (deep red), Essie = Rock at the Top (gold glitter)  Anyway thanks for staying with me. And many more nails to come. I have a tutorial almost ready for you guys, so stay tuned. Peace out!

Glittery Pompeii

Image
Hey hey hey my Polish Peeps! For my first set of nails of the year, I wanted a new start. I love this pink, but have barely ever used it. And with the sweet new polishes I got for Christmas, I knew what I wanted to do. The pink is very shiny and bright and one of of the super amazing things about the polish is that when the light catches it the right way it will show up as a "glowing" purple. I like to call the effect "magma glow" 'cause the polish is called Pompeii Purple and that is how the purple looks when you can see it. I applied two coats of the polish and then added a very thin coat of a rosy gold glitter on top to help bring out the pink in the polish (even though it doesn't need help at all, it just looks so pretty). Colors: OPI = Pompeii Purple, Essie = Summit of Style   I love how the glitter adds to the pink! What do you think? Peace out!
