Pumpkin Patch

Image
Happy Halloween!! Hope everyone is having a spooky day. I had to do one more set of Halloween nails. For these nails, I started off with two coats of a light blue polish. Then I used a dotter tool and made a pumpkin-ish shape with a deep orange polish. Then I mixed some white polish into a bit of the orange polish and then added lines to the pumpkin to give it dimension. I added a stem on top of each pumpkin with green polish except for the ring finger. With  a black polish I added faces to each pumpkin. For the ring finger, I wanted to add a little something special and decided to add a black cat to the top of the pumpkin. Polishes Used; Essie in bikini so teeny (blue), mojito madness (green), Blanc (white), and licorice (black). OPI in It's a Pizza Cake (orange). Have a fun and safe Halloween!

Haunted Moon

Image
Hello everyone. As Halloween approaches, spooky nails are a must. This week I wanted to do something that feels spooky/haunted without being too Halloween-y. A misty moon with branches seemed to fit perfectly. For these nails, I started off with two coats of a light purple and then did a gradient with a gray polish. Once that was dry, I painted a moon on the upper corner of the nail (near the cuticle) with a pale yellow polish on two nails. Then I used black to add branches across all the nails and finished the look with a coat of glitter polish. Polishes Used; Essie in lapiz of luxury (light purple), now and zen (gray), and licorice (black). Butter London in Cheeky Chops (yellow). China Glaze in Fairy Dust (glitter). Hope you all have a spooky week and see you on Halloween!

Leaves in the Snow

Image
Hi guys! Snow has started falling in my town and once the snow fell the trees dropped all of their leaves, making the snow speckled with yellow leaves. I loved how fall met winter that day so I wanted to do nails inspired by them. This is a polka-dot gradient, which is quite easy to do with a dotter tool. I started off with two coats of white polish. Then I did a fine coat of a mixed glitter polish. Once everything was dry, I took two different size dotter tools and, starting at the tip, made dots from big to small going about half way down the nail in a bright yellow polish. Polishes Used; OPI in Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet (yellow). Essie in blanc (white). China Glaze in Don't Be A Snow-Flake (glitter). See you next week!

Autumn Angles

Image
Hi everyone! As the weather is cooling down and everything is pumpkin flavored, nothing is better than having autumn nails! I was inspired for these nails by some of silvery/blue pumpkins we have with twinkle lights in them (perfect fall decor). For these nails, I started off with two coats of a coppery/gold polish and let that dry. Then I took some striping tape and did off-center X's closer to the tips. Once I had laid all of the tape down ,I then used a blue metallic polish and painted over the tape and removed the tape to reveal the copper color underneath. These nails are a shiny/elegant fall look perfect for the beginning of cooler weather. Polishes Used; Pacifica in Hustle (copper/gold). Essie in blue rhapsody (metallic blue).  Hope you have a great week!
