Tarnished

Image
Hey everyone! Sorry for being a bit inactive on here. I just moved and got settled and haven't had as much time to work on my nails. Thank you for still being here. For this week's nails I took inspiration from rocks that have a glittery shin to them with a bit of a tarnished edge. I started out with two coats of a black to get the darkest it can get. Then I tore off a corner of a makeup sponge and dipped it in a glittery gold polish and dabbed it around the nail. I then ripped off another corner and dipped it in black and went over some of the sides of the gold. This will give it the tarnished effect and leave your nails really cool-looking. Polishes Used; Morgan Taylor in Little Black Dress and Give Me Gold.  See you guys next week.

Blue Stripes

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a good week. As the weather this week is already in the 90sF/30sC, I wanted nails that are bright and feel like going outside. For these nails, I started with two coats of a white polish and let that dry fully. Then I took stripping tape and made the space for the stripes and painted it with a bright blue. These nails are pretty simple in looks but add a great little accent to these warm days. Polishes Used: OPI in Tile Art to Warm Your Heart (blue). Essie in blanc .  See you soon.

Hi! This week I wanted to do something different. I have done something similar to this here but this a different take on the technique. For these nails, I started with two coats of white and let it dry. Then I ripped off the tip of a makeup sponge and used tweezers to sponge purple polish onto my nails in an X shape. I kept sponging the design until I got the desired color on each nails. I also went around with some white on the sponge to give them all a unique design and fade in different places. I am really happy how the finished product came out. Polishes Used; Zoya in Lidia (purple). Essie in Blanc (white). See ya.
