fog & mist

Hey guys. Because I did very heavy nail art last week, I wanted to do something a bit simple yet elegant this week. I have a really bad addiction to blue nail polishes. Blues are normal my go-to when I'm resting my nails. I went for a chilly blue with a "dark" glitter and I really liked that effect it gave. Polishes Used; OPI in Less is Norse (blue) and My Voice is a little Norse (sparkle).  See you next week!

new york

Dear Rachel Denham, Today is going to be a great post and here's why . . . it's about New York! I just got back from my first every trip to New York City. The city was amazing and so beautiful. I loved it there. I was able to see a lot of the big touristy places and would love to go back to see the other, less touristy side of it. This whole trip was planned around my sister's want and need to see Dear Evan Hansen since she heard the preview of "Waving Through a Window" in December of last year. Dear Evan Hansen is amazing and is definitely my favorite play/musical I have ever seen. The cast was so amazing. Colton Ryan, who played Evan Hansen at the showing I saw, was so good and I can't picture anyone else as Evan now. Mike Faist's performance in "Sincerely Me" was my favorite part and it still makes me smile/laugh just thing about it. Dear Evan Hansen  has an amazing story and even better message and I may have cried a lot and I will sing ...

Half Caff

Hey everyone. OPI just released their fall/winter Iceland collection. It is one of my favorite collections that I have seen I in a long time. It is the perfect combo of the deep shade of fall and warm colors that remind me of why I love fall so much. I, of course, bought all of it. Save me. My favorite things about this collection is how many brown polishes their are. Most brown polishes that I have seen normally have this almost purple tone to them. These browns have different undertones and are prefect for cooler weather. For my nails today, I wanted to accent one of the browns that I bought. I started off with two coats of a nude and let it dry. Then I taped off half the nail and painted the untapped side of nail. This style really helps bring out the color that you want to show off. Polishes Used; OPI in My Vampire is buff (nude-ish) and  That's What Friends are Thor (brown). I'll see you guys soon.

Blue & Yellow Checkerboard

Image
Hey guys. Recently, I have been trying to  donail art that I haven't done. I have been wanting to challenge myself to get better at my nail art and round out my skills. This week, I wanted to work on checkerboard nails. Last time I did this I got very frustrated and removed them instantly. This time they worked out a lot better. I went for my favorite August color combo of blue and yellow. Polishes Used; Essie in hide & go chic (blue). OPI in Need Sunglasses? (yellow).  See you next week.
