Happy New Year

Image
Hello everyone and Happy New Year! 2016 was probably one the worst years of my life, with 2014 still being the absolute worst.  But this year did have a lot of good things. I went to Disneyland for the first time and got to see Dan and Phil's The Amazing Tour Is Not On Fire (both were amazing). But I will be very very happy to see this year "die." Thank you all for following my blog this year and I hope to see you all in the new year. Please have a happy and safe New Years. Here is a little summary of the nails I did this year. See you next year!

Santa's Coming

Image
Happy Christmas everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying time with family and friends. For my last set of Christmas nails, I did Santa-inspired nail art. I started with two coats of red on all my nails (nude pink on my ring finger). On the thumb, I then did a black stripe (closer to the cuticle than the tip) and a white stripe down to meet the black. I added more white dots on the white line to look like fluffy fabric (Santa's suit). I then drew an outline of a box right on the black line in sliver (belt buckle). On the ring, I taped off a triangle with the wide base at the tip. Then with a doter tool, I added a puffy base to the triangle and one dot at top (Santa hat).  Polishes Used; OPI in Big Apple Red(red) and Bubble Bath(nude) . Morgan Taylor in All White Now and Little Black Dress . China Glaze in Fairy Dust(glitter top coat) . Essie in apres-chic(sliver).  Happy holidays everyone. . . have fun and stay safe.

So Many Reindeer

Image
Halla. What set of Christmas nails would be complete without a set of reindeer nails! I just love doing these. They are always so cute. I went with a light blue background (kinda like the sky). Then I painted rounded shaped tips in a light brown and added little lines at each side to look like ears. Next, I painted the very tip of my nails with black for noses and added antlers by painting straight lines and then added smaller lines out of each side of the original  line in deep brown/black. I then added eyes by painted two large white dots with smaller black dots inside. You can always add one reindeer with a red nose to get some Rudolph representation. ;) Polishes Used: Butter London in Petticoat (light blue). Zoya in Chanelle (light brown). Morgan Taylor in All White Now and Little Black Dress . China Glaze in Ruby Pumps (red). See you all on Christmas Eve

Presents

Image
Hi guys. Seeing as it is the last shopping weekend before the holidays, I thought it would be appropriate to do present nails. I really like how you can do any colors with these for any holiday or celebration. I went for green with white for my presents, since green doesn't get the spotlight much. To do this mani, I did two coats of white on all my nails expect for my ring fingers. When the white was dry, I used striping tape to make a "t" on all my nails and painted a coat of green polish(to look like ribbons). Where the white crosses, I free handed a bow. You can add a jewel at the center of the bow if you like. I then did the reverse colors on my ring fingers. Polishes Used: Morgan Taylor in All White Now (white). Mineral Fusion in Mossy Bank (forest green).  See you guys tomorrow.

Gingerbread Man

Image
Halla. One of the many things that comes to mind during the holiday season is baking, from cookies to breads it is the season to enjoy. I just had to do gingerbread man nail art. I wanted to do an accent nail on my ring finger with the gingerbread man on that nail and a wave tip for the rest. I started off with painting all but my ring fingers a rich brown. I then painted my ring fingers white. On the brown nails, I taped the tip with a "wave" look to look like frosting. For the ring, I free-handed the shape of a gingerbread man. With a toothpick, I added the smaller detail to the gingerbread man and added a coat of glitter to all the nails. Polishes Used; butter London in Tramp Stamp (brown). Morgan Taylor in All White Now (white). China Glaze in Fairy Dust (glitter coat). What do you guys think? See you next week.

Snowman

Image
Hello everyone! Snowman nail art is one of my many December traditions. Back in 2012, my sister introduced nail art/nail blogs to me. I loved them and really started getting into it, so I tried doing snowmen nail art of my own and have been doing this nail art every year to see how I have progressed. For these year's snowman mani, I went for an in-between dark and light blue and a fatter snowman. I always love doing these and I really hope you guys like them. Polishes Used; OPI in Dating a Royal (blue). Morgan Taylor in All White Now (white) and Little Black Dress (black). Essie in meet me at sunset (orange). China Glaze in Fairy Dust (glitter top coat).  See you guys tomorrow!

Striped in Gold

Image
Halla! It is finally the holiday season! So to celebrate, I will be posting nails on every Saturday and Sunday 'til Christmas (last one on Christmas Eve). To start off the month, I went for a more refined candy-striped mani. It is like a candy cane but with cream and gold instead of red and white. First, I painted two coats of a cream polish and let that dry. Then I taped two stripes and painted them gold (you can do more stripes if you want). Polishes Used; Zoya in Jacqueline (cream). Essie in getting groovy (gold). See you on Saturday!
