Orange Spikes

Image
Hey guys! As it cools down, I am fully embracing Pumpkin Spice everything!! I wanted to spice up my nails with a little pumpkin color. I love this shade from OPI. It is perfect for fall! I started off with two coats of the orange polish. I then taped a thin triangle on each of the nails and painted a coat of a dark glitter polish. Polishes used: OPI = It's a Pizza Cake(orange) & My Voice is a Little Norse (glitter)  See ya guys next week!

mini mani: space out

Image
Hi guys! mini mani today!!! One of my sisters favorite things in this life is Space. Galaxies, nebulae, planets, stars, black holes . . . everything. So, I wanted to give her nails that showed her love of space. I started off with two coats of black. When that was dry, I used the corner of a make up sponge to dab on white on each nail in a different shape for the different galaxies. From there, I sponged on a little pink and little yellow. When all that is dry, I took a tooth pick and added tons of little dots to be stars and a coat of glitter to make it even more spacey.  There are plenty of tutorials on space nails on Youtube if you guys are interested! Polishes used: Essie = blanc (white) & licorice (black) & cute as a button (pink), OPI = Need Sunglasses (yellow), China Glaze = Fairy Dust (glitter) See ya soon! P.S. My sister took a picture of me taking pictures of her nails. I am a photography geek so of course I have lights and a crazy/amazing camer...

Blue and Gold Half-Moon

Image
Hey guys! Happy first day of Autumn!!! I love this season so much. To go along with the season, I made my nails all festive. I love the dark colors of fall, so I picked a dark blue and a deep gold. I really love these colors together. I love doing half moons with colors and I thought these colors would be perfect for this design.  I started off with two coats of the deep gold. When that was fully dried, I taped my nails and then painted them blue.  (if you want to know how to do the half moons with more details, I have a tutorial here ) Polishes used: Essie = bell-bottom blues (dark blue) & leggy legend  (deep gold) See ya guys next week!

Black French Tips

Image
Hello guys! Now that summer is over and my nails have fully recovered for having them being changed every few days, I wanted to do nails that are dark and bring me into more of fall feelings. I love doing slanted French tips. If you have trouble shaping your nail, but want French tips, do the tip at a slant instead of straight across. It will keep people from noticing that your nails aren't perfect. I started off with two coats of my favorite light pink. When that was fully dry, I taped off the tip at a slant and painted it black. Simple, but it looks great and it is fall-like without it being fall yet! Polishes used: essie = (black), OPI = bubble bath (light pink)  See ya guys next week with more fall nails!!!

mini mani: Kicked to the Side

Image
Hi guys!!! I am so sorry I haven't posted for a while. I am so glad that summer is almost over. I love cold weather and fall colors!!!! Today is a special mini mani because it is for Kicked to the Side. The reason why I have a nail blog. Over a year ago, I made a deal with my sister that, if she made a webcomic, I would do a nail blog. One year ago, my sister posted her first page of the comic! So, to celebrate one year, I gave her Kicked to the Side nails! There are based of the costume colors of the mani character, Chase (Zap-Lad)!  Check out her web comic Kicked to the Side here ! Anyway, I started off with two coats of white on each of her nails. When that was dry, I free handed lightning bolts in teal on her pointer and ring fingers. I then made stripe of teal on the middle finger and pinky. On the thumb, I did KttS, standing for Kicked to the Side. Colors: Essie = blanc (white) & trophy wife (teal)  See you guys real soon with fall nails!!!...
