15: My Summer

Image
Hey guys!! Last post of the summer! The last prompt was "Your Choice".  So I wanted to do nails that just screamed summer to me. I did a mix and match mani, which means you do something different on each nail. Colors: Essie - blanc (white) & tart deco (pink) & sparkle on top (glitter)  I hope you guys enjoyed this journey through the summer with me!!! Here is a little look at all of the nails!

#14: Swimsuit

Image
Hey guys! Second to last Summer Nails post (I am so ready for fall)!!!!!!! Swimsuits. How could I not do a yellow poka-dot mani?! I started off with a light blue matte. I love how subtle yet bright it is, even though it is a matte color! When that was dry, I added yellow dots. (The yellow is a lot less bright in real life.) Colors: Essie = Sea the Sights (blue), butter London = Cheeky Chops(yellow(love love love the name & color!)) See you soon with the last summer nails post!

#13: Childhood Movie

Image
Hi! My favorite childhood movie was by far Disney's Lilo & Stitch . I watched it all the time, had the soundtrack, and had two birthday parties themed off of Lilo & Stitch . So when the 15 Nails of Summer prompt, "favorite childhood movie," came up, I knew what I had to do. One thing that is just iconic about Stitch is his huge ears. I wanted to show that. I painted his face on my middle fingers and his ears on the pointer and ring fingers. On the pinky and thumb, I painted Lilo's dress. Colors: OPI = Go With the Lava Flow (red pink(lilo's dress)), butter London = Right as Rain(blue(stitch head)), Essie = blanc(white) & licorice(black) & in the cabana(blue for accents), China Glaze = First Mate (blue for nose)    Only two posts left in the 15 Nails of Summer!!

#12: Summer Pedicure

Image
Hey! Now, you can't have summer without a pedicure!! I wanted to do pink (which is a huge summer color) and a flower, like a Hawaiian flower (with like big petals). I started two coats of bright pink. When that was dry, I used one of my bigger dotter tools to make 5 dots. I then took a toothpick and dragged the dots in form the center. This makes the petals pointed inwards to the center of the flower. Add a jewel to the center of the flower and ta-da! Colors: butter London = Snog (pink), essie = blanc (white)  See ya!

#11: Outfit

Image
Hallo sweeties!!! Just 5 more prompts left!! Todays prompt is to take inspiration from an outfit you wear. The biggest part of any/all of my outfits are the acceroises.  . . . like rings! So, I took inspiration from some of the newest rings I have bought. I painted two coats of one of my favorite nude colors. When that was dry, I taped a stripe across the nail at a slant. I painted it silver. When that was dry I added glitter to only the sliver. Colors: OPI = Bubble Bath(nude/light pink), Essie = no place like chrome (silver), China Glaze (Fairy Dust) What is perfect about these nails is that they are netural so they can go with any outfit you wear and match the rings!! See ya!!

#10: Summer Colors

Image
Hi!! Summer is a time full of colors. How could I not do the colors of summer?! When I think of summer, I think of a peachy pink and gold. So, I started off with two coats of a peachy pink on all my nails. When that was dry, I taped a triangle on my nail and created a cool look (the polish I picked for the pink was brighter in person than in the pictures . . . it looked more summery). Colors: Essie = good as gold (gold), OPI = Hands off my Kielbasa! (pink) I will see you soon with the next set! Fall is getting closer!

#9: Summer Movie

Image
Hey hey hey! The ninth prompt is a movie that you saw this summer. One movie that I really loved that I saw at the beginning of the summer was Disney's Tomorrowland ! It was amazing. So, of course, nail art! One really iconic part of the movie was the pin. I really wanted to show that with these nails. The nail art is sort of simple but really screams Tomorrowland .  I started off with painting two coats of a copper-like color. When that was dry, I taped a T on my ring finger and painted it blue. I made sure to make the T look as close as possible to the one in the movie. Colors: Mineral Fusion = Pretty Penny, essie = hide & go chic   I really like these nails!! What do you think? See ya!
